Draw your plot, bed by bed
Lay out your beds and paths to size on a grid of 1 ft squares, so what you see on your phone matches what’s in the ground. Most community garden plots take a few minutes.

Sowing dates for your garden
Bia knows your town’s frost dates and how warm it gets, so every crop gets local sowing and planting out dates, not the ones on the back of the seed packet.

A reminder for every job
Sowing, planting out, watering in a dry spell, covering for a frost, checking for slugs after rain. Bia keeps track and lets you know on the day.

Your season, harvest by harvest
Log what you harvest as it comes in and look back on the whole season.

Questions
Is a community garden plot the same as an allotment?
Pretty much. In the UK a rented plot is called an allotment, and in the US and Canada it’s usually a community garden plot. Bia plans both the same way.
Is Bia free?
Bia is free for 2 months, then $2.99 a month or $24.99 a year. You can cancel any time in the App Store or Google Play.
Does it work for a small plot?
Yes. You set the size of your plot and draw the beds you actually have, from a single raised bed to a full plot.
Does it know about frost in my area?
It uses frost dates for your town, worked out from climate records and your height above sea level. It also warns you when a frost is forecast.
Can I share my plot with other gardeners?
You can share your plot and follow other growers in your area in Neighbours.
